Seems like it’s been a year of waiting, between the pandemic and the presidential election, so it’ll come as no surprise that we’re also still waiting for our cemetery marker.
We’ve had an update from the Texas Historical Commission, and it sounds like it’s going to be at least another 4 months. There are about 90 markers ahead of us, and the foundry has been working with a skeleton crew so they can social distance for safety in the pandemic.
We’ll share more information as soon as we get any. Until then, please take all the recommended measures you can to help lower your chances of getting or spreading Covid-19. As I’m sure you know, the virus has already taken one of Antonio’s descendants, Armando “Mando” López, and there may be others I’m unaware of. Wishing you and your families health and safety in these unsettling times.
