Next Saturday, May 6, people will be getting together to clear brush and fencing around the cemetery in preparation for improvements — details below. If necessary, work may continue into Sunday, May 7. If you’d like to help, please contact members of the informal project committee for details. Thanks!
What will be happening

A = The cemetery lane will be cleared and widened so a caliche layer can be added later.
B = Brush will be cleared around the entrance so the new cemetery sign can be installed after it’s painted.
C = Brush will be cleared all around the current barbed-wire fence line, and the fence will be taken down, in preparation for installing a new fence. New net-wire fencing will be installed soon to keep hogs and other animals out so that more of the cemetery area can be used for burials.
D = More details on this coming soon! Turns out there’s a pipeline easement running through this portion of the cemetery.
